Sakshi Yoga

Sakshi Yoga
Sakshi yoga, or “the yoga of awareness”, is a method that has been synthesized for the first time by H.H. Avadhuta Sri Ramakrishnananda Babaji Maharaja. It is based on the Advaita Vedanta school of Hinduism and comprises elements from different traditional yogic branches: karma, bhakti, hatha, raja, jñana, tantra, kundalini, and so forth.
Sakshi yoga is not an invention of Prabhuji, but a synthesis of his long path: from his initiation at the age of eight, through his years of practice, the Shaktipat initiation by his guru, the blessings of his instructing spiritual masters, to enlightenment. Sakshi yoga includes all the elements that have contributed practically to his own spiritual development, for the benefit of any sincere spiritual seeker.
The Teachings of Sakshi Yoga
According to sakshi yoga, our foundation is divinity. Behind this world of names and forms lies a single transcendental nature; experiencing it is not only possible, but it is the innate right of every human being. Sakshi yoga facilitates the recognition of the same essence both within ourselves and all around us.
The initiation by a realized spiritual master and the blessings through shaktipat are sakshi yoga’s principal keys. Therefore, the work of the Vishwa Dharma Mandalam is to facilitate association with Prabhuji and access to his teachings.
The teachings of sakshi yoga are based on the advaita vedanta school and include elements from all the traditional yogic branches, as well as the teachings of former enlightened spiritual masters.
The Vishwa Dharma Mandalam
Founded by Avadhuta Sri Ramakrishnananda Babaji Maharaja, the Vishwa Dharma Mandalam mission is dedicated to preserving and spreading the teachings of sakshi yoga. It offers a large variety of meditation courses, workshops and retreats especially designed by Prabhuji, throughout the years.
The organization functions thanks to the voluntary work of the students who practice karma yoga, or “selfless service”, as a means of transformation and inner development, offering the results of their labor to God.
The main commitment of the Vishwa Dharma Mandalam is the service of those in need, not just materially but especially in the spiritual aspect.
